The Sixteenth "China Cup" International Costume Design Competition Unveiled In Keqiao

Yesterday afternoon, the sixteenth "China Cup" international costume design competition, representing the highest level of clothing design in China, held a press conference in Keqiao. The first competition "China Cup" women's dress international final was also officially opened. It is understood that this is the first time the Chinese cup has been held in cities outside Shanghai, and this is also the biggest highlight of this competition.

It is understood that the "China Cup" originated in Shanghai, is the first national and international event recognized by the state. It has been successfully held for the 15 time and has been praised as "the cradle of fashion designers" by the clothing industry and fashion media.

Wu Xuekai, Wu Haiyan, Zhang Lingli and other famous fashion designers have participated in the "China Cup" in various ways.

Up to now, a total of more than 3 athletes participated in the "China Cup" competition in 42 countries and regions, including 198 countries, 357 cities and universities in China, France, the United States and Japan.

The competition is sponsored by the Organizing Committee of Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival and undertaken by Shaoxing textile and garment designers association.

The previous 15 games were held in Shanghai. This is the first time that this competition has been out of Shanghai to Keqiao Textile City of China.

The women's finals, which began yesterday, are the first competition of the 4 matches of the Chinese cup. The other 3 competitions (children's wear, men's wear and underwear beach wear) will also be held in Keqiao this autumn.


According to the organizing committee, the women's finals are "discovered".

"Color" as the theme, received more than 1000 works from more than 10 countries including France, Japan and Italy.

After preliminary evaluation, there are 31 sets of 140 sets of competitors finalists.

The women's wear finals will be held on ~30 July 28th.

Next, the 140 sets of clothing will be displayed in the fashion Hall of China Textile City for ten days.

Spectators can choose their own gold prize in the "best fashion award" list, and the highest fashion designer will win the "best costume Award" in the finals.

5 lucky viewers who are in line with the finals will also receive Expo gifts.


During the women's finals, the "touch China Textile City fabric" event will be held at the same time, which is a three-dimensional design for the fabric of China Textile City. It is also worth looking forward to.


Promoting pformation and upgrading with creativity


Shaoxing has a good opportunity.


As a national top costume design competition, why did the "China Cup" choose to walk out of Shanghai and enter Keqiao? For this reason, Liu Yaqing, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee of Shanghai fashion week and Secretary General of Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival Organizing Committee, told reporters that the Organizing Committee hopes to take the "China Cup" contest as the starting point to realize the combination of creative design and industry, and promote the deep cooperation between Shanghai and Shaoxing's textile and garment industry and achieve win-win results.

She hoped that the "China Cup" competition held in Keqiao could promote the integration of fashion industries in Shaoxing, Shanghai and the whole Yangtze River Delta, enhance the pformation and upgrading of traditional industries with creativity, and increase the added value of products by design.


Chen Qimiao, executive vice president of Shaoxing textile and garment designers association, also said that Shaoxing's textile industry has always been in the leading position in the country. The introduction of the "China Cup" competition is intended to integrate traditional textile industry into creative elements and speed up the integration of the Yangtze River Delta market with creativity.

He also said that from the perspective of the Yangtze River Delta region, only with the cooperation of various cities can the new development of creative industries be better sought.
